Bitcoin’s transaction fees have recently hit a low they hadn’t seen in over three years, as according to BitInfoCharts the median transaction fee on the flagship cryptocurrency’s network is just $0.029. Fake News Site Promotes Bitcoin With Image of Ex-New Zealand PM

An alleged fake news website released a crypto-related article employing the image of former New Zealand prime minister John Key, local media outlet Stuff reported Jan. 5. The ad reportedly promoted Bitcoin (BTC) and a company called “Crypto Revolt,” which is allegedly a cloned scam site. Five More Exchanges Join Japan’s Self-Regulatory Crypto Exchange Association

Five more cryptocurrency exchanges have joined the Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (JVCEA), according to an official announcement on Jan. 4 from the JVCEA. Founder of Romanian Crypto Exchange Coinflux to Be Extradited to US on Multiple Allegations

Nistor Vlad Călin, the founder of Romanian crypto exchange Coinflux, will be extradited to the United States, local media company Mediafax reports Jan. 4.
